The Catholic Bishop of Zaria Diocese has approved the transfers and appointment
of some Priests in the Diocese. The Priests affected are:
1. Rev. Fr. Hosea Hassan, who was formerly the Pastor in charge of St. Ann’s Parish, Zagon Taman II, has been transferred to Maria Assumpta Pastoral Area, Jushi to serve in the same capacity.
2. One of the Associate Priests of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, ABU, Zaria, Rev. Fr. Felix Zakari, has been elevated to the position of Parish Priest of St. Ann’s Parish, Zangon Taman II.
3. Rev. Fr. Maikudi Gabriel, an Associate Priest of Christ the King Catholic Cathedral, takes the place of Father Zakari at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, ABU, Zaria.
4. To fill the position of Father Maikudi, Rev. Fr. Pius Obadiah, the Associate Priest of St. Paul’s Parish, Anguan Sarki is now at the Cathedral.
5. St. John’s Parish, Muchia has been without an Associate Priest since the transfer and elevation of Rev. Fr. Samuel Aliba to the position of Parish Priest of St. Dennis’ Parish Danladi. Consequently, Rev. Fr. Habila Mayere is the new Associate priest of St. John’s Parish.
6. In a related development, Rev. Fr. James Akema has been appointed Chaplain of Biblical Societies. He is filling the position of Rev. Fr. Raymond AllahMagani, who has been short listed for Military Chaplaincy in the Nigerian Army and is currently on training.
