The death has been announced of Mr. John Buba, an uncle to Rev. Fr. Cletus Dauya, parish priest of Sacred, Wusasa.
At the funeral service held at ECWA Church Tsoriyang in Zangon Kataf, Fr. Dauya described his uncle as humble, committed and dedicated to the service of God and urged others to emulate him.
He said though his death came to the family as a shock, the family is consoled by his virtues. “We thank God for his life and I encourage all of us to prepare at all times because death is inevitable. Let us not be caught unawares. As we continue to pray for his immediate family, let us remember three things: as we live in this world, let us think about where, when and how we will die. Baba has tried his best; may his soul rest in peace,” he said.
Late Mr. John Buba passed on at the age of 65. He was formerly a Catholic, and worked in the Nigerian Railway Cooperation before his retirement in 2000. Before his death, he was the secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kwali Area Council Abuja. He was blessed with 10 children, 18 grandchildren and 2 great grand children.
