The diocesan President of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Zaria Central Council of Kaduna Metropolitan Council, Mr.Francis Olusola Amole, on Saturday, February 9 celebrated his 60th birthday and launched two books namely, Dynamics of Entrepreneurship in Nigeria and Daily Prayer Manual.
The celebration took place at Our Lady of Perpetual help pastoral centre, Graceland, Zaria and had dignitaries from all walks of life including the Catholic Bishop of Zaria, Most Rev. George Jonathan Dodo, in attendance.
In his homily at the Mass, the Administrator of the pastoral centre, very Rev. Fr. Michael Pius Kagarko, acknowledged the importance of thanking God, being grateful and commended the virtues of Mr. Amole whom he described as committed, dedicated and a man with great passion for the work of God. He urged his children to emulate him.
In his welcome address, the Chairman Organizing Committee of the celebration, Mr. Joseph Nashakyaa, thanked all those who devoted time to grace the occasion. He encouraged dignitaries to donate generously at the book launch and appealed to those who the committee could not invite but graced the occasion not to feel unrecognized.
Mr. Nashakyaa who wrote a citation of the celebrant at 60, described Amole as a wealthy man according to Robin Sharma. “I would want us to mirror Mr. Francis Amole according to his inner wealth, physical wealth, family and social wealth, career wealth, economic wealth, adventure wealth and impact wealth, adding that Mr. Amole is a man who impacts society with the aim of living a legacy,” he said.
Responding, Mr. Amole thanked all those who came for the celebration and thanked them for their prayers and donations. He hoped that he would leave a legacy for others to emulate when asked what he would love to be remembered for.
Born on the 1st of February, 1959 in Ibadan Oyo State, Mr. Amole graduated from the University of Lagos in 1982. He is a fellow of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management and fellow chartered institute of commerce of Nigeria.
He worked with the Electricity Metre Company of Nigeria Plc from 1985 to 2016 and left as the Head of Finance and Administration Department of the Organization. Professor Augustine Agom of the Faculty of Law A.B.U Zaria reviewed the celebrant’s books.
