A regular Olivebranch columnist, Mrs. Dorathy Ifeoma Asogwa, on Friday, February 22 launched her maiden gospel musical album title: “Chi Oyoyo”. The launching, which attracted dignitaries from Lagos, Abuja, Awka, Anambra and Enugu, was held at CPS, Ibagwa Ani, Nsukka, Enugu State.
Addressing the gathering, the chairman of the occasion, Dr. (Barrister) Uche Ogbu, commended the efforts of Mrs. Asogwa, whom he described as committed, dedicated, full of talents and urged those present to support her to succeed. “This is indeed a woman who has distinguished herself and who needs our support. So let us encourage her with our donations so as to keep up the good work,” he said.
Responding, Mrs. D.I. Asogwa thanked all those who came and supported her despite the presidential elections and equally sought for their prayers. She said she was overwhelmed with the attendance which she said signaled the success of the launching and prayed God to bless and reward those who came abundantly. Mrs. Asogwa, an English graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, finally thanked her husband, Barrister Asogwa, and her children for their support and said she would remain grateful to them.
Highlights of the launching were; choreography, presentation of the gospel musical album, dance display and others. Mrs. Asogwa writes column called “Family Menu” in the Olivebranch and remains one of the oldest columnists.
